Mystery Explains What Pickup Artists Are Doing Wrong
Erik Von Markovik (Mystery), one of the greatest pickup artists of all time, has been appeared on Owen Cook’s channel in February 2024, almost 20 years after the events of The Game. I managed to catch Mystery for a few minutes to ask a few questions.

The Real Meaning Of Negging
When Googling the definition of negging, you might see a definition like the following:
‘An act of emotional manipulation whereby a person makes a deliberate backhanded compliment or otherwise flirtatious remark to another person to undermine their confidence and attempt to engender in them a need for the manipulator’s approval’.
Erik Von Markovik (Mystery) famously coined the term negging, but the definition you would find on the Internet is not the actual definition of the word. Mystery explains that a neg is not an insult. A neg is actually an indicator of disinterest, and is the opposite of hitting on someone.
Mystery Rejects Direct Game
Erik Von Markovik (Mystery) stated that if you’re going to play the numbers game, at least build the skillset while you’re doing it, instead of doing the same thing over and over again and wondering why you’re not really getting any results.
I asked Mystery if he would be interested in joining the Direct Game VS Indirect Game debate. The debate is being planned between Badboy, creator of direct game, and several indirect gamers. Badboy insisted that he can take on every indirect gamer at the same time, by himself. Mystery expressed interest in watching the debate, but not participating in it.
Don’t Forget The Mixed Sets
A lot of pickup artists, especially in infield videos, tend to approach women who are alone. Mystery, however, reminds us that ‘mixed sets’ (Groups of males and females) should not be overlooked. When pickup artists focus on women who are by themselves, they limit their options and could even come off as a little too direct or even creepy.
You can turn men and women who are in groups into allies in your mission to meet more people. You can introduce people to others in a nightclub environment, even if you have only known them for less than a minute.
