No More Last Minute Resistance
Last minute resistance (LMR) is a term that somehow became quite widespread in the seduction and dating scene.
It’s time for it to die.
Last Minute Resistance Is Terrible
According to the Game Glossary, which has been in the works since 2019, ‘last minute resistance’ is toxic terminology and should be scrapped entirely by everyone who intends to use it. The term is problematic by the very wording.
‘Resistance’ means opposition and refusal to accept, and when this word is applied to a sexual context, it’s unconsensual by definition.
In war, there is resistance. The French resistance resisted against the German invasion of France very shortly after the invasion began. Needless to say, invading another country is against that country’s consent.
Back to a sexual context, ‘last minute resistance’ or ‘LMR’ is effectively doing the same, but at an individual and biological level. The problem of ‘last minute resistance’ has been highlighted by a lot of outsiders to the seduction community, and for good reason. Whoever made up the term clearly didn’t think it through. So, as the Game Glossary states, we should use the term cold feet instead of ‘last minute resistance’.
That’s the solution of terminology.
Cold Feet: The Real Solution (And It Won’t Get You Into Jail)
Now, let’s get to the practical solution of cold feet.
In Dan Bilzerian’s book The Setup (2021), he reveals how he deals with these situations. He was in bed with a girl and it was seemingly escalating towards sex, but she stopped him from going all the way.
Here’s a quotation.
“We kissed, but when I went to slide down the straps on her nightgown, she stopped me. So I got out of bed, went to the bathroom, and popped a sleeping pill.” (The Setup, Chapter 29: No Remorse)
Confused? Well, maybe that’s a good sign. It’s time to learn something new, from a guy who you cannot deny gets laid, and without any accusations of doing so unconsensually!
After taking that sleeping pill, he ended up sleeping with her the next day after all. She chased him, instead of him chasing her. Then she asked him to cum on her face.
“By me being willing to accept a no and then still hang out with her afterward, it allowed her to feel safe and think that I liked her for more than just sex. And this allowed her to then have dirty, cheap sex with me. Go figure.” (The Setup, Chapter 29: No Remorse)
The Right Mindset To Deal With Cold Feet
It’s not just about this, though. The mere fact that he wasn’t needy, wasn’t desperate, and wasn’t upset about it is enough to separate you from all the other guys out there.
“I certainly wasn’t going to whine, keep trying, and keep getting shot down like most guys. The more a girl rejects you, the lower your perceived value becomes in her eyes. It’s like when you get stuck off-roading – the more you spin your tires, the harder it will be to eventually get out.” (The Setup, Chapter 29: No Remorse)
He gives the following advice…
“Don’t get in the habit of begging or allowing the possibility of sex to control the situation. If you shut it down, it communicates that you aren’t going to let her pussy run the show. Whether it’s a business negotiation or a hookup, the person willing to walk has all the power.” (The Setup, Chapter 29: No Remorse)
This is a great mindset to have. The mindset of abundance, and not the mindset of scarcity. This alone defines the winners.
